Need to get away from town for 8 days: September 6 - 14. Will be back on Friday the 15th probably, renewed and more hungry for slowtro adventures!

I thought I'd let you guys know: After talking with my ISP, they told me they're doing an upgrade on their network and it's gonna take about 2 weeks more to get it done and the Internet restored to normal.

I thought I'd post it here cause even though I will be logging to the game, I won't be able to play properly. As for the upcoming events and plans, don't worry about me. I'll catch up again before you know it :)

Greetings, my fellow turtles! (WARNING, long text incoming. Skip to P.S if not interested)

It has been a while, but my Internet has been restored and all is good concerning broadband connection. However, recent developments have occurred that I feel the need to share with you for they are reasons for my extended leave:

1) Bought myself a brand new SSD hard drive and having been almost 4 years on this machine without a format, it's time for a fresh and clean re-installation (meaning everything will be deleted, including LOTRO)

2) The most important and serious reason is that recently I found a job (FINALLY!) at a nearby pizza place, meaning 6/7 days of the week I'll be working from 5pm till 12am (at least), GMT +2 time.

Now, with that being said, there's still time for gaming in noon or early afternoon. But, there's another reason why I feel the need to take a break from LOTRO. It has been more than 2 years since I've started playing (June 2015) and I've experience most of the game's aspects (questing, epics, crafting, endgame content, raids & instances + the most recent one which is role-playing) and after I've returned in September I've noticed that it's not as fun as it used to be. Of course, there are stuff I've not tried yet like PvMP and as far as RP goes we've barely scratched the surface of the whole experience, but still my interest in the game overall has lessened significantly.

That is why I feel the need to take an indefinite leave from the game. Now when I say indefinite, I mean it. You might see me again in 2 weeks, might be 1 year or never. One could say that it's like a test for my love of Middle Earth, this game and our club (I might miss the game and our club and come back soon enough).

Last but not least, I want you guys to know that the past 6 months in the game have been the best period ever since I started playing and that's due to you guys and Club Slowtro :)

I think that's about it. After tomorrow (which is when the format is happening) Thal will be put to hibernation and become a 'Sleeping Turtle'

P.S. If you get/got tired of reading all that just the underlined part of the text will be enough :P

Very happy for you, Thal, finding a job and doing what feels best for you!

I would like to thank you for your honesty and the fun we had together in hopes of seeing you again (on this platform or another)!

Take care of yourself ;)

Take care Thal, we all need a break from the game as some point.

You can keep a copy of the LoTRO folder on your old HD and copy it over if a big download is a problem. then it will just update the relevant files.

Hi all, I'm going to be taking a break from LOTRO for a while. I've been finding it increasingly difficult to get free for Wednesday evenings and have also been feeling a bit jaded (the first might have led to the second).

This has happened to me before and I have always returned. It might just be a couple of weeks or maybe longer. In any event I wish you guys all the best and thanks for the great sessions we have had.
