Devastated after being told "there's no such thing as rum in middle-earth", Rychyrd puts aside his pursuit of Sharkey, drowns his sorrows in brandy, then returns to the serious business of investigating the Old Forest.

The gang of likely lads rounded up from the gutters of Bree Town consisted of:

Rychyrd, Lylan, Eeafled, Florrin, Lessaguid and our new friend Bobbles, a drunk and often sweary hobbit with a rough exterior but a heart of gold.

After harrowing a path through wolves and aggressive trees (trees!!), the company arrived, shaken and a bit stirred, at old Tom's house in the forest.

Tom wasn't around, but his ample stocks of honey beer & wine were laid out for visitors. It would've been rude not to. From here, I am sad to say, our behaviour took a turn for the worse. Table dancing ensued.

Followed by Table smoking. Disgraceful.

At last, our gracious host turned up to join the festivities, and the Unforseen Party was in full swing!

Little known fact: Tom Bombadil can party like a demon. He broke us all, but kindly allowed us to crash at his place. What a gent!

The journey continues next week - albeit slightly hungover and sworn off booze.

So that's what you were up to while we were helping out the Rangers, saving Frodo and preventing the destruction of Middle-Earth!

(Gotta lol, this was beautiful.)

Bombadil's floor isn't as comfortable as you'd think. What's in that brew of his?!?

Nice one.

I am hoping to explore more of the Old Forest over the next few nights.

Just in case you were not aware. Pressing F12 will remove the UI when you want to take screen shots.

Aha, I didn't know that - thanks.

Although having the chat in the screenshot can sometimes be just as amusing ;)
