Updated with Lothlorien and Mirkwood.

Something the other day made me ponder. We were in Fil Gashan farming mobs as we do and I asked had anyone done the instance the 'proper' way. Not much in the way of replies. It just made me wonder if perhaps people get lost in the 'DPS the crap' out of everything mentality.

Same happened in Grand Stairs, I pointed out we need to get to Nadur (sp) in 10 minutes for him to be available to kill.... not a lot of people pick up on that....

Anyway.. just thought I would throw that out.. if people want to run stuff even at low levels for the 'story mode' then they should post up a request. Moria instances are some of the best instances I think in game.

Hi J - thanks for that

think we have done the three toon 'Erebors' as well - not listed are the other 3 raids which look fun to try sometime ?

Flight to the Lonely Mountain
The Fires of Smaug
The Battle of Erebor

the tempo of many instances are so quick its true i don't follow all the comments posted in the heat of it all never-mind respond in a considered manner - maybe i should invest in a headset ... any recommendations for a cheapish but decent option?

I think the answer is right there. Once the group decides to go in an instance specifically to farm and the pulls start... I often turn off, myself. Since 'farm mode' does usually not require much focus I am generally just going progressive without establishing solid aggro on each mob and the little thinking that I do is usually regarding when to rotate in the next pull.

Though I might split my attention momentarily to get some petty things sorted in the background, like typing a couple of essays for various online platforms on 4 different languages regarding all aspects of mortal and spiritual life while correcting some of Mr. Hawkins' advanced calculations that he based off of assumptions derived from his current understanding of the String theory all the while giving directions via Skype-conference regarding strategic business planning and tactical deployment to the G7 crowd.

But if you start spamming the Fellowship Chat with large, green bunnies you will sure have my undivided attention 😁.

IMHO doing instances in RP mode could be interesting, usually out main target is time minimization and fast loot

My comment wasnt really that noone answered, just that noone seemed to have done it that way the instance was designed. When a healer can tank all the 6 mans in Moria it just shows that the difficulty of the instance no longer reflects the original design of the instance.. and pretty much everything can be DPSed.

My main point is, the Moria instances are nostalgic to me, because I remember being there healing with 3k morale minstrel and having to play the instance as designed. I just wonder if any of our group will remember the Moria instances other than.. yeah thats where we had to kill 300 Greyberg, find 4 Tomes, run back and forward to the quest giver in 21st hall 6 times....

I dont even see it as 'RP' mode... the whole notion of RPing an instance is something I would rather not ever have to 'enjoy'

So anyway... just making you guys aware.. the option is there to enjoy the beauty of the Moria instances....
